Bribie Island is possibly one of the most 'under-rated' land-based angling locations, with many sand banks, drop offs, great low tides and high tides and ample amount of structure, even for land based.
Bribie Island Jetty or Bongaree Jetty is a great spot of fishing, successful times seem to be right on Sunrise and Sunset and also fish 1 hour before until 1 hour after low and high tides for a nice feed of Bream and others.
The jetty can get busy most nights with 'resident' fisherman often using 4 to 5 rods at a time chasing Jewfish, some of these beasts have come in at 1.5 Metres long!
